Appologies for not posting last week, I was sick as a dog and the other boys had their work cut out for them as a result. You’ll be pleased to know things are slowly starting to take form here. I wish i could say how the record is shaping up to sound, but it is still so hard to tell at this stage. For those of you worrying, i can probably give you an 85% confirmation that it wont be a country record, but that’s about it. There’s so much to choose from on the radio out here – A great station called Sirius XM plays 50s on 5, 60’s on 6, 70’s on 7….as well as loads of awesome blogger-curated spot shows which we listen to late at night driving home along the colorado river. The song ‘Bizness’ by Tuneyards has definitely been a big jam for us out here, along with ‘Codex’ from Radiohead’s ‘King of limbs’ record, Which annoyingly always seems to come on JUST as we’re getting out of the car. What’s WITH THAT?.
Well william has been talking about posting up a Radlands mixtape for y’all to download and lose your shit to, but in the meantime (which may be some time) here’s a bunch of stuff we’ve been playing around the house when we probably should have been working.
